Scott started her career at ABC News in 2016 as a Production Associate for ABC News Live. She took an additional assignment as a weekend general reporter at ABC News’ Haven, Connecticut affiliate, WTNH-TV. She is the current Senior congressional correspondent reporting from Capitol Hill. Rachel was part of the media term that interviewed President Donald Trump and the Republican candidate for the presidency at the National Association of Black Journalists convention on July 21, 2024, in Chicago.
In addition, Scott serves as ABC News’ lead campaign correspondent. She is mostly affiliated with the campaigns of the Republican Party and follows former President Trump’s trail. However, she has interviewed leaders from other parties as she held an extensive with vice presidents Kamala Harris and Mike Pence.
Furthermore, Scott was part of the international press pool that accompanied President Biden for his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
